The Association for Social Research and Communications (UDIK) from Sarajevo and the Association Dea Dia from Belgrade, supported by Schuler Helfen Leben (SHL) call young activists to participate on the project “Theatre of Peace Live“.

“Theater of Peace Live” is a project that will take place in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia where the participants will stay for a month in these countries and then perform the “Theatre of Peace Live”. In these two countries participants will be trained in acting, dealing with the past and concrete examples of war crimes. The costs will be covered by the organizers.

The first part of the project will be implemented in Serbia and the second part of the project will be implemented in Bosnia and Herzegovina where the participants in a creative way will perform a play on the square of the city where the project is implemented.

Participants have to be communicative, creative, ready to hang and to be interested in learning about facing the past and therefore for reconciliation talks.

“Theater of Peace Live” is a contribution of youth organizations to dealing societies from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina with prosecuted war crimes and various forms of human rights violations, because as the philosopher George Santayana said: “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it”. Transitional justice is one of the more effective instruments to prevent a repetition of this, and the young people are the ones who need to work on it.

The call is open till July 10th, 2015 for candidates from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia who are 18-28 years old.

Please find the Application form on web site www.udik.org. If you are interested to participate in the project, please fill it and send us by e-mail to udik@outlook.com (for Bosnia and Herzegovina) or to office@deadia.co.rs (for Serbia). Also if you have some questions about the project you can send it to these emails.
