The Association for Social Research and Communications (UDIK), in cooperation with the Center for Women War Victims – ROSA Zagreb, informs the public that on Monday, August 3rd, 2015, will organize the standing with the aim to mark the anniversary of the crimes committed in the military operation “Storm”. Half-hour standing will be organized at 11am in Sarajevo (in front of the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia) and in Zagreb (Ban Jelacic Square) with the aim to remind the public to these crimes. Also this standing represents a peaceful protest on the occasion of Croatian state-organized denial of crimes committed in the operation “Storm”.
We remind that in the operation “Storm” were killed and missing 1.853 Serbs and expelled at least 220.000 inhabitants of the former Republic of Serbian Krajina. Therefore, we believe that it is the inappropriate attitude of Croatian President Kolinda Grabar Kitarovic who in her speeches opens questions and shows empathy for the Bosniaks victims of genocide in Srebrenica, but in the same time she is the main protagonist of the denial of crimes against Serbs in the operation “Storm”.
After activity UDIK will send an open letter to Croatian President to call her on the moral and political responsibility towards all citizens who live in Croatia.
