The Association for Social Research and Communications (UDIK) informs the public that on Wednesday, April 29, 2015, will organize the promotion of the book “20 years later: Journalists about the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina”, authors Edvin Kanka Cudic and Jusuf Hafizovic. At the book promotion also will be present Edin Jasarevic, a professor of Bosnian language, and Alma Muratovic Kajevic, journalist of BDC TV. The promotion will be organized in the Islahijet starting at 7pm.
Next day, on April 30th, 2015, the Association for Social Research and Communications Brcko DC BiH (UDIK Brcko DC BiH) will lay a wreath on the Sava Bridge, on the occasion of the 23th anniversary of the fall of the bridge on the river Sava. UDIK reminds that on that day 23 years ago the border bridge between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia was demolished and with this act began the occupation of the city of Brcko. According to many testimonies the responsible for the demolition of the bridge was Goran Jelisic. However, this information is not yet confirmed. One of the most responsible people for this criminal act is Djordje Ristanic who then was a president of the Crisis Staff of the SDS and later the mayor of Brcko. He is still at large.
In addition to the laying of wreaths, UDIK Brcko DC BiH will organize the standing on the Square of Youth starting at 10 am. With this standing UDIK calls on the authorities in Brcko DC BiH, Prosecutor’s Office and the other responsible institutions in the city to prosecute all those responsible for missing civilians from the Sava Bridge in Brcko.
