UDIK Udruženje za društvena istraživanja i komunikacije
The Association for Social Research and Communications (UDIK) informs the public that on Tuesday, 8 March 2016, will attend the 9th Women’s Conference in Podgorica, organized by ANIMA – Center for Women and Peace Education and the Center for Women’s Rights. According to the plan of activities for the period from 9am – 11am is planned gathering and march of the citizens, followed by the conference at 3pm.
We remind that this holiday was established at the Second International Conference of Women Socialists, on March 8, 1910 in Copenhagen, and is celebrated in memory of the demonstration of American workers in Chicago in 1909 and the New York march of more than 15,000 women who wanted shorter working hours, better pay and voting rights.
By attending the march and conference under the slogan “Social justice – we will not give up”, UDIK wants to support a women in Montenegro and contribute to the fight against social discrimination that is also unfortunately present in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
