The Association for Social Research and Communications (UDIK) informs the public that on Monday, May 25th, 2015, will organize the standing with the aim to mark the anniversary of the massacre at Kapija in Tuzla. Half-hour standing will be organized at 9.30am on the Square in Tuzla after which activists of UDIK will lay a wreath at the Kapija.

UDIK reminds that twenty years ago, precisely on May 25th, 1995, the Army of the Republic of Srpska fired a grenade from positions on Mount Ozren to Kapija, the place where young people in Tuzla were gathering. In this terrible crime was murdered 71 young people. Average age of the victims is 23 and the youngest victim was only two years old.

With this act of standing and wreath laying UDIK wants to remind the public that there are still those who remember the crime at Kapija in Tuzla, because after twenty years there is still denial or the poor operation of the Prosecution on this case. This is indicated by the fact that until today for this crime was convicted only one person, Novak Djukic, who is currently in Serbia and avoid serving a prison sentence.
