THE ANNIVERSARY OF THE CRIME COMMITTED IN BUKVIK

UDIK posts On Wednesday, September 13, 2016, the Association for Social Research and Communications (UDIK) will attend a memorial service in Bukvik on the occasion of the 24th anniversary of the crime committed in this settlement.
As part of the publication “War crimes in Brcko (’92 – ’95) – JUDGEMENTS” UDIK published documents of the Basic and Appellate Court of Brcko District of B&H about crimes committed in Brcko. In the published cases Armin Omazic, Fikret Hasanovic – Pepa Pavic, Galib Hadzic, Niaz Hodzic – Asmir Tatarević and Jaric and others, convicted are charged with torture and abuse of the civilian population of the village of Bukvik, but also detainees from this settlement and who were in war camps in Gornji Rahic, Boce and Bosanska Bijela. The crimes were characterized as a war crime against civilians, war crimes against prisoners of war, and the crime of rape. However, despite these judgments, there is still no verdict for the killing of civilians from Bukvik.
With this activity UDIK will pay tribute to the innocent victims from this settlement.
